The recipe for a Research Book

To begin your Ancient Warfare journey, you will need to craft your very own Research Book (see photo on the right).

After crafting, you want to right click the Research Book while holding it. This is your Ancient Warfare guide of information, research, and management, in your hand!

There are eight workstations: Research Station, Engineering Station, Drafting Station, Vehicle Engineering Station, Ammo Production Station,, Alchemy Station, and AutoCrafting Station. Each has its role in managing your Ancient Warfare.

Good. Now, let us go ahead and craft a Research Station. Research will be the life-blood of your Ancient Warfare kingdom. This unlocks your ability to craft different things as well as your NPC kingdom workers or military units, should you ever want the kingdom to progess automatically without your intervention.

After placing the Research Station down, Right Click to enter the Research Station GUI. You want to place the Research Book in the upper left slot. By clicking "Adjust Research Queue" you can select which research you want to discover first.

For researching Civilian Engineering 2, for example, some research must be studied before hand, like Civilian Engineering 1. What research you will need depends on what are you trying to make in your Ancient Warfare kingdom.

After you reach the Leadership research, you can remove your book from the Research station. It will provide a recipe for the town hall. Recipes regarding ancient warfare at this point must be built in the Engineering Table. Build a house around your town hall. This will be the base of operations for all of your citizens. After obtaining farms(animal farm, crop farm, etc.) from the agriculture research, select an area for all of them to be together. One farmer can operate them all. Go back to your leadership panel in the book and find the worker item and follow the recipe to make four. Give each either a hoe, axe, quill, and pickaxe. You will also want a quarry. Find a place to put your quarry. Make sure to restock your town hall with food, explore and research. Have fun discovering.
